Abstract

This study focuses on work-family conflict, mental health and turnover intentions among school teachers. Specifically, this study aims to identify the level of work-family conflict and their effects on mental health and turnover intentions. This study utilized a survey method by using questionnaires to gather the data.The study population consisted of 130 teachers from Sekolah Kebangsaan Simpang and Sekolah Menengah
Kebangsaan Kampung Jambu in Perak state. However, only 100 respondents had returned the questionnaires. Min, frequency and percentage were used to measure the level of work-family conflict.
Meanwhile, correlation and multiple regression were used to analyze effects of work-family conflict on mental health and turnover intentions. The study found that the level of work to family conflict (WFC) is
higher compared to the level of family to work conflict (FWC). Furthermore, work-family conflict has negative effects on mental health and turnover intentions. This study provide some implication to the
development of education institutions to become more competitive through a healthy human capital from the aspect of physical, spiritual and mental.
