An effective leadership model should be grounded in a strong theoretical foundation while also being usable and relevant in actual school practice. This study evaluates the usability of the Student-Centred Leadership Model (SCLeaM), which was specifically developed for leaders of Islamic schools in Malaysia, as Phase 3 of a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 62 Islamic school leaders from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) and Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK), using the USE Questionnaire (Lund, 2001), which comprises four domains: usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. Descriptive statistics were employed to determine usability scores and percentages. The findings indicate that the overall usability of the SCLeaM model was at a very high level (87.53%), with usefulness recording the highest percentage (89.62%), followed by satisfaction (87.55%), ease of learning (86.69%), and ease of use (86.02%). These results suggest that the SCLeaM model is positively received by the target users and is suitable for application within the context of Islamic school leadership. This study concludes that the SCLeaM model demonstrates strong practical validity and has the potential to serve as a systematic guideline to support student-centred leadership practices in Islamic schools in Malaysia.
