Abstract

Stress phenomenon has become the major factor to affect the mental well being among the teachers. This situation needs immediate action by certain parties who have the expertise to address the situation. Thus,
this research is being carried out to prepare a skilled module which is tested for its reliability and validity. It is to be used to control the stress level among the teachers who are facing high level of stress. This research is based on two basic concept which are the Reliability and Validity (Cronbach,1969) and Stress Model by Blonna (2000). The framework of the module consists of five level of processes namely,
identifying own self and stress, restructuring of thoughts, reducing stress, active and passive rest strategy and restructuring of lifestyles. The process to evaluate the validity of the processes is based on Russell
(1974) suggestions and four experts in this field were chosen to check and evaluate the module. The evaluation of the reliability of the module involved questionnaires which consists of 115 items based on each activity. Based on the procedures presented by Russell (1974), it was found the Skilled Module To Control Stress Among The Teachers has high validity . The analysis received from those experts in this field agreed that the module has 97% of mastery level. Hence, the experts’ agreed the module has high score of the content validity. Overall, the findings of the evaluation of the reliability is found to have the highest coefficient (Alpha Cronbach .988). The findings confirmed that the module has high reliability.
