Abstract

School leaders are considered as the most important individuals in determining schools’ effectiveness and development. In fulfilling the needs of the society, school leaders should utilize various style or leadership strategies. This research mainly focuses on main political leadership strategies used by the school leaders. In addition, this research also tries to determine the internal consistency and structural validity of political leadership questionnaire using confimatory factor analysis (CFA) with structural equation modeling approach. A total of 300 primary school teachers and six school administrators were choosen to be the research respondents. Findings revealed that political leadership items have consistency and structural validity and school leaders used political leadership mainly in gaining internal support from teachers and schools’ staff.
